I should have known you're crazy

Feb. 21st, 2007 | 10:32 pm
mood: awake
music: GnR - better

No one ever told me when I was alone
They just thought I'd know better, better.
No one ever told me when I was alone
They just thought I'd know better, better

The hardest part this troubled heart has never yet been through now
We've healed the scars that got their start inside someone like you now
Well had I known or I'd been shown back when I longed you'd take me
To break the charge that brought me home and all that won't erase me

I never would know that I could
No matter what you'd pay me.
Replay the part, you stole my heart
I should have known you're crazy

If all I knew was that with you
I'd want someone to save me
It'd be enough, but just my luck
I fell in love and baby all that I wanted was

Now I know you better
You know I'd know better,
Now I know you better

So bittersweet, this tragedy won't ask for absolution
This melody inside of me still searches for solution
A twist of fate, A change of heart
Kills my infatuation
Of a broken heart
To provide the spark for my determination

No one ever told me when I was alone
They just thought I'd know better, better
No one ever told me when I was alone
They just thought I'd know better, better

All that I wanted was
Now I know you better
You know I'd know better
Now I know you better

I never wanted you to be so full of anger,
I never wanted you to be somebody else
I never wanted you to be someone afraid to know themselves
I only wanted you to see things for yourself

All that I wanted was
Now I know you better
Now we all know better
All that I wanted was

If I were you
I'd manage to abhor the invitation
Of promised love that can't keep up
with your adoration
Just use your head and in the end
You’ll find your inspiration,
To choose your steps, I won't regret
This kind of aggravation

No one ever told me when I was alone
They just thought I'd know better, better
No one ever told me when I was alone
They just thought I'd know better, better

Being morbidly obese does not qualify you for the status of a disabled person, but apparently it can qualify you for the status of a complete asshole. Bear this in mind when you are next ingesting 500+ buffalo wings, extra spicy.

Also, the Nintendo DS is a nifty piece of hardware. They make too many fun toys.

Another long, lazy weekend has come to a close. Let's do a recap, shall we? Yes, let's.

Friday:
After a pleasent and always somewhat bizarre ride home on the train, I arrived to find that my DS had NOT arrived, but the carrying case for it had. This was less than optimal. But no matter. I quickly purchased some beer and proceeded to wander around the house and drink until Russ arrived, at which point we did more of the same, then wandered in a westward direction until reaching Eddie's Attic, whereupon we joined (or were joined by, depending on how you look at it) pelicanavenue, mathslut, vomikronnoxis, girlsonfilm, Brandon, Kevin, Johnny and Jen Carter (who was looking finer than was previously imagined possible), although not in this particular order. The show commenced at around whenever and was reasonably awesome, with at least one tune that I had not heard before. Jen seemed to be doing sketches of some kind, which gave an impression of a bizarre courtroom drama, perhaps something out of a particular odd epsiode of Law & Order, but where instead of having proceedings in a courtroom, they're actually in a bar and somebody is giving their testimony in the form of song. Anyway, after all this concluded the majority of us eventually made it down to Twains for some potential shuffleboard and whatnot. Unfortunately by this time I had also consumed 8+ beers and 2+ shots and so things quickly went into a haze and I woke up the next morning in my bed. A reasonable ending, at the least, or at the last. However, this takes us neatly into episode 2:

Saturday:
Waffle House at 10 or so in the morning. Delicious, but they were out of chili, which was unfortunate. I did however take the opportunity to drunkenly call Ack and taunt him for no particular reason, which was not overly pleased with. Directly after consuming our food Russ and I returned to my abode and he proceeded to travel home while I made a line for the couch and passed out for oh, about 9 solid hours of nap time. Skip to later in the evening at Jenn and Sammy's place, where we gathered to play some cards with the Lan and Evan. After 2 games of such and many beers, it was now 5 in the morning (no thanks to daylight "savings". bastards), so I proceded to watch "Mean Girls". Not terrible, but I kept confusing it with "Saved", which made the ending very confusing.

And finally, Sunday:
Not much going on here, apart from some pickup of La Casita. This is highly recommended for all. That is if you find yourself in or near East Atlanta any time soon.

All in all, a highly wasteful and wasted weekend. Good times.
